Come join this class for an opportunity to increase your knowlege of American culture and develop your English skills in a challenging but fun, supportive environment. 【学習内容】 Weekly discussion and short presentations on various aspects of American culture, including Business, Politics, Gender, Race, and the Media. Short essays on each topic. Vocabulary building. Critical thinking about American culture. 【学習方法】 I am trained in Communicative Language Teaching, which means the class requires active participation and is centered on the students. We will also use Content-Based Instruction, which means that language skill are practiced by using real, authentic content, such as newpapers and websites. 【学習形態】 Students will take turns researching and presenting topics, read short articles and discuss them in pairs and small groups. Homework will be short essays or reaction papers, which can be corrected and revised to improve writing skill. 【受講生に期待する達成レベル】 At the end of the class you can expect to have increased your vocabulary, English communication skills, and understanding of current American culture.
